Video: Discussing University System of Maryland’s diversity pipeline programs as part of perspectives on institutional change #ThinkBigDiversity

This past academic year, I had the chance to join University System of Maryland colleague Associate Vice Chancellor Dr. Nancy Shapiro in a discussion about institutional change. The University of Buffalo’s Women in STEM Cooperative invited us to be guest speakers on their webinar, “Perspectives on Institutional Change.” I shared information about the Louis Stokes Alliance for Minority Participation program (LSAMP), PROMISE Maryland’s Alliance for Graduate Education and the Professoriate (AGEP), and mentioned programs such as Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE), Society for the Advancement of Chicanos/Hispanics and Native American Scientists (SACNAS), Annual Biomedical Research Conference for Minority Students (ABRCMS), Southern Regional Education Board Doctoral Scholars Program – Institute for Teaching and Mentoring (SREB), and NSF’s ADVANCE – Increasing the Participation and Advancement of Women in Academic Science and Engineering Careers (ADVANCE).

Thank you to the University of Buffalo for the opportunity to share. This webinar was presented on the Shindig platform.
